Slow Start to Swaps Trading Revolution

Gregory Meyer and Michael Mackenzie of the Financial Times report on the expected increase in swaps trading on SEFs in the next month compared to the measured adoption of electronic derivatives trading thus far. Lee Olesky, Tradeweb CEO, provides his insight on the expected growth in SEF volumes in mid-May, and notes that electronic trading has risen to around 25 percent of swaps transactions from 10 percent since SEFs began operating.
