Bala Rajagopalan

Bala Rajagopalan is Chief Risk Officer at Tradeweb Markets, and a member of the Executive Committee. He is responsible for Tradeweb’s global risk function, ensuring the company maintains a strong risk and control culture. Working closely with business, technology, finance, human resources, legal and compliance units across Tradeweb, he leads the development and implementation of risk management measures throughout the company.

Prior to joining Tradeweb, Rajagopalan was CISO at BlueMountain Capital Management, where he managed the company-wide information risk management program and information security functions, including enterprise data protection, security governance, incident response and regulatory compliance. Prior to this role, he held various senior positions at BNY ConvergEx Group, Citi and GE Capital.

Rajagopalan has more than 25 years of experience in technology, information security and risk management. He is a member of the Tradeweb Enterprise Risk Committee, among other global information and security risk coordination groups, and has spoken at numerous industry events, including MIT CAMS, the Evanta CISO Summit and FS-ISAC.

Rajagopalan holds a bachelor’s degree from Mepco Schlenk Engineering College.
