(Nasdaq: TW), a leading, global operator of electronic marketplaces for rates, credit, equities and money markets, today announced it has introduced electronic portfolio trading for European government bonds, spanning UK Gilts, EUR and single currency notes. Tradeweb was also the first platform to launch portfolio trading for corporate bonds in 2019. Last year, the firm saw USD 698 billion in global portfolio trading notional volume across 9,134 transactions.

Global government debt markets experienced a sell-off in March, with yields increasing across the board. Those for Germany’s 10-year Bund saw the biggest move, rising by 34 basis points over the month to finish at 2.73%.
Trading activity on the Tradeweb European ETF marketplace amounted to EUR 70.3 billion in February, the platform’s third best-performing month on record. The proportion of transactions executed via Tradeweb’s Automated Intelligent Execution (AiEX) reached 92.5%, the second-highest figure recorded, while the percentage of AiEX volume registered at 25%.

(Nasdaq: TW), a leading, global operator of electronic marketplaces for rates, credit, equities and money markets, today reported total trading volume for the month of February 2025 of $50.3 trillion (tn) . Average daily volume (ADV) for the month was $2.49tn, an increase of 33.1 percent (%) year-over-year (YoY). Excluding the impact of the ICD acquisition, which closed on August 1, 2024, total ADV for the month of February was up 18.2% YoY.
It was another mixed month for global government debt markets, with yields both increasing and decreasing across the board in February. Beginning in Asia Pacific, the mid-yield on Japan’s 10-year benchmark bond climbed 13 basis points during the month to close at 1.37%.
