Tradeweb Trailblazers Recognized at Markets Media's Women in Finance Awards

We are pleased to announce that Tradeweb’s own Erica Barrett and Elisabeth Kirby were recognized by Markets Media as part of its 2nd Annual Markets Choice Awards: Women in Finance luncheon. Erica who won the Excellence in Trading Platform award is a Managing Director, helping oversee the firm’s commercial relationships and its fixed income businesses. She’s been at Tradeweb for over 15 years, and played a key role in the launch of the firm’s Commercial Paper (CP) and Agency Discount Note (ADN) platforms.

Elisabeth Kirby who was named a Rising Star is a Managing Director focused on the development of the electronic trading business for U.S. Markets. She was an integral part of the Tradeweb team that helped launch the firm’s leading swap execution facilities (SEFs), supporting electronic trading of derivatives as mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act. She has a track record of developing innovative trading and workflow solutions, including Tradeweb’s market leading compression tool for derivatives.

The event, which was hosted on November 15, 2016, recognized some of the most talented and accomplished women in multiple categories across the buy-side and sell-side trading desks, institutional investors, hedge funds, exchanges and technology providers. Markets Media’s editorial team identified the best candidates via interviews with their colleagues, senior market participants, customers and competitors, as well as online submissions. The publication’s Advisory Board then examined the field to identify the most deserving award recipients.

Markets Media notes that women are an increasingly vital group in the deep and diverse talent pool that drives capital markets, and the event was a celebration some of the outstanding nominees.
