TABB Forum: Move to Electronic Trading Won’t Eliminate Volatility

Gabriel Suprise of GlobalCapital reports on the A View From the Top: The New Trading Landscape panel at the recent Tabb Forum Fixed Income conference, and quotes Tradeweb CEO, Lee Olesky on improvements that e-trading has brought to the derivatives marketplace such as an increase in matched trades and efficient sourcing of capital. Olesky notes that since the move to electronic platforms for derivatives trading began, the volume of those instruments executed electronically on Tradeweb increased 40% in a less than a year.
