Tradeweb is once again named Best ETF Trading Platform in the ETF Risk European Rankings

ETF Risk 2015(1)For the second year running, Tradeweb has won the “Best ETF Trading Platform for Institutional Investors” category in the ETF Risk European Rankings. The awards name the best providers in the ETF industry, as voted by institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, consultants, trading houses, ETF issuers, research firms and exchanges in Europe.

Quality and certainty of execution are two key characteristics of the Tradeweb ETF marketplace that set it apart from its competition. The platform provides the investing community with a valuable solution for larger size trades, while clients continue to benefit from strong pricing.

In addition, Tradeweb’s ETF marketplace is constantly adding new functionality that helps to improve market infrastructure, subsequently promoting greater adoption of ETFs by institutional investors. This year the platform introduced enhancements that substantially increase the information available to investors, including pre-trade transparency and dealer selection tools, as well as post-trade trading analytics.

Meanwhile, features added to the platform in previous years are still proving popular with users. For example, straight-through-processing solutions improve trading efficiency by reducing manual errors and settlement problems. Two years ago Tradeweb also launched a tool that makes it easier and faster to price and trade the basket of bonds needed for the creation or redemption of shares in European fixed income ETFs.

With demand for the products on the rise, Tradeweb has been working closely with partners, such as iShares and State Street, to introduce a standardised methodology for calculating fixed income analytics, allowing investors to compare bond ETFs with other fixed income investments. This ensures “that everyone speaks the same language” according to Enrico Bruni, head of Tradeweb’s Europe and Asia business.
