Tradeweb Acquires Rafferty Capital brokerage
We announced the acquisition of the brokerage assets of Rafferty Capital Markets, LLC this week. It's part of our strategy to grow Dealerweb, our inter-dealer division. It's not our first brokerage deal. In 2008, we acquired Hilliard Farber in 2008. The rest is history, as they say. The business has more than doubled and we now see Dealerweb as a major player in the IDB space.
As for the details of the acquisition, it includes brokerage desks for:
- U.S. Treasuries
- U.S. Agencies
- Mortgage-backed securities
- Repo
- Municipal bonds
- Corporate bonds
- J.J. Kenny Drake tax-exempt municipal bond brokerage group
